One Piece Carnival Shanghai is officially setting sail in Shanghai this summer! As Asia's first-ever immersive One Piece theme carnival, it promises a thrilling fusion of story-driven gameplay, high-tech interactivity, themed dining, live shows, and exclusive merchandise.

 

What is the One Piece Carnival Shanghai?

The One Piece Carnival Shanghai makes its debut from July 10 to August 31, 2025 at the Man Li Zui (鳗鲡嘴) Riverside Green Space in Pudong, Shanghai. Spanning over 30,000+ square meters, this sprawling experience is officially licensed by Toei Animation and produced by Lincai Network Technology.

 

What can visitors expect?

1. Immersive Themed Zones

Guests will journey through meticulously recreated arcs from the anime, including Arabasta, Water Seven, Wano Country, Marineford, and Fish-Man Island. Live-size inflatable models such as Luffy in Gear Second form and the Thousand Sunny ship transport fans directly into the One Piece universe.

2. Interactive Story & Tech-Driven Gameplay

The adventure kicks off in the "Wanted Hall", where attendees receive "wanted posters" and register via a mobile app to become honorary "navigators." The app also powers AR/NFC-based missions, treasure hunts, and unlocks special animations.

3. AR & VR Engagement

In collaboration with HADO by meleap, the carnival introduces a customized AR experience allowing fans to battle as their favorite characters or join pirate versus navy confrontations - all through state-of-the-art augmented reality.

4. Entertainment & Nighttime Magic

Beyond rides, the event features live performances, NPC interactions, and a floodlit spectacle from 7:00–9:00 PM that transforms the riverfront into a dazzling pirate wonderland.

5. Dining & Merch Extravaganza

A treasure trove of exclusive merchandise - badges, apparel embroidered onsite, silver tickets, and medals - awaits collectors. Themed snacks and eateries further animate the pirate experience.
